Owner, Tim HuffmanTim Huffman is the founder of Huffman's Market at the Tremont Center in Upper Arlington. Tim Huffman was inducted into the Ohio Grocers Hall of Fame on September 12th, 2012. Tim Huffman originally had a business partnership with his two brothers, Joe and Ray Huffman but eventually bought them out and become the sole owner of Huffman's Market.

Huffman's History
What is Huffman's Market?Huffman's Market is a small grocery store that has been at the Tremont Center for 30 years. At Huffman's Market they sell produce, canned goods, packaged foods, candy, poultry and everything else you would find at a Kroger or Giant Eagle. Huffman's is a family run business that values customer service.
Huffman's Market also has a toy train that runs along a track near the ceiling around the whole front of the grocery store. This train is in operation seven days a week. |
Where is Huffman's Market?Huffman's Market is located off of Tremont Road in Upper Arlington Ohio, and is a part of the Tremont Center. Tremont Center was built in 1954. Tremont center was made of limestone.
Originally there were three Huffman's Market stores, one off of Morse Road, one in Southern Arlington, and the current one in Tremont Center. |
Huffman's Sunday Liquor License
In 2004, Huffman's was the first store to sell liquor on Sunday. Huffman's did not want to transfer their liquor license to Giant Eagle Market District because of how close together the two stores were. Huffman's transferred their liquor license to Kroger. Huffman's can still sell beer and wine but they cannot sell the "hard stuff".

In conclusion Huffman's Market is unique to Upper Arlington because it is a family owned business that values customer service. Communities share values, experiences, and spaces. Huffman's Market is a shared space that values the importance of family, and shares experiences with a lot of the residents in Upper Arlington. This is unique to Upper Arlington because Upper Arlington values having places where anyone can go and be a part of the community.
